Ever wonder what constitutes different degrees of homicide, or what they are? I know have always been confused by the many different terms: manslaughter, murder one, capital murder, third degree murder, etc, etc. So, in the name of curiosity, guised in the cloak of investigative web blogging, I decided to find out.

Another Thanksgiving has come and gone here in San Diego and once again it was a sunny beautiful day in the city. Continuing the tradition, I cooked a feast for all of my friends and family that don’t go home for the holidays. Everyone ate until they passed out and, thankfully, there are enough leftovers to enjoy for the next few days. Overall it was a great day in which I got to reflect on how lucky I am to have such great friends and family in my life.
I just got to see She Wants Revenge play at the San Diego House of Blues. John, Eric, Kaysie, and I arrived during the set of the last opening band, Pretty Girls Make Graves. Although I enjoy Pretty Girls Make Graves, I wouldn’t call myself a super fan so i didn’t mind missing some of their show. But don’t let my opinion sway anyone who wants to go see them, they played a great show and definitely moved up a few notches for me. She Wants Revenge came on around 9 and started their lineup. i didn’t know how well they would be able to pull off their sound live since a lot of bands these days only sound good in the studio. I must say, though, my fears were completely unfounded and She Wants Revenge played a great show that had a great sound. It was really cool to get to see them live since I listen to them more than any other band on my shuffle while I skate. While they were playing my mind was full of images of late night skate sessions amid foggy San Diego nights when I couldn’t sleep. Muy Bueno!
I’ve started a new project to document all of the things to do in San Diego and places to eat for locals and anyone visiting the area. Since moving here, I’ve continued to find the city to be a wonderfully diverse place offering many different options for food or activity. I added 2 links in the website sidebar under a new section called “Inside San Diego”. The first link is for activities, the second link is for places to eat. I’m looking for any suggestions or references so please email me if you have something you think would be a good addition. Just please don’t forget to add details such as location, prices, hours, etc. I’ll continue to keep updating and adding to the lists so check back often. Thanks!
